Blogs

Over time, I’ve found a few blogs that I read regularly.  Some provide professional insight, some feed my need for technology news, and some just entertain me.  You may find these useful, as well. Or not.

Leadership

Random Acts of Leadership – Timely thoughts on leadership by Susan Mazza. She does a nice job of finding leadership lessons in everyday events and activities.

Say “Alaka’i” – An interesting perspective on leadership that incorporates aspects of Hawaiian culture into the discussion.  Author Rosa Say uses her blog to jumpstart follow-up conversations on twitter.

You’re Not The Boss Of MeGwyn Teatro brings her perspective on leadership colored by a background in HR and corporate management.  Many of her posts resonate with my management style.

CIO RantGeorge Tomko adds his perspective on the ups and downs of being a CIO.  Good place to get an inside view of the challenges of IT leadership.

Three Star LeadershipWally Bock provides leadership insight with his contributions as well as weekly summaries of what you might be missing in other leadership blogs.  Very useful resource.

Beyond Blinking Lights and AcronymsMike Schaffner writes a practical blog that touches on technology, leadership, and social media.

A CIO’s Voice – It’s always good to find CIOs that blog; Arun Manansingh uses his to address issues that confront every CIO.

Technology

App Scout – General news on new things generally aligned with computing technology.  This blog started out highlighting new applications (hence the name) but has become a more general news of the day for anything in the desktop computing world.

Pocket PC Thoughts – All sorts of new stuff in the world of Windows Mobile phones.  A great place to find new tools for the Mobile Compulsive.

Entertainment

Christ Notes – I like to start my day with a bible verse.  They are often quite applicable to the problems and challenges I face that day.  How’d that happen?

Lileks – I’ve been reading James Lileks for years.  He blogs on everything that happens in his life, and his view on life seems closely aligned with mine.  One of us should be concerned.

Know of a blog that’s missing from my list?  Comment and share; we’ll all be the better for it!
